    This is a very nice
    "One Thousand Rublei"
    note from the
    "Republic of Belarus"
    . It is dated 1998.
    On the first issue of notes from independent Belarus, this denomination, in 1993, had the mounted Knight Vytautas
    “The Great”
    a historical figure, brandishing his drawn sword on the face. But in 1998 they removed Vytautas and changed the face design. This 1998 design was itself replaced in 2000 by a completely redesigned 1000 Rublei note.
